Why MedReady exists

Getting licensed abroad is harder than it needs to be

  • Prep is priced for people with salaries

Leading question banks for exams like the USMLE and MCCQE cost hundreds of US dollars for a few months of access, on top of exam fees that can pass a thousand dollars for a single sitting. Many graduates are between jobs while they prepare.

  • The rules are scattered

Each country splits its pathway across regulators, exam bodies and verification services. It is easy to lose months to one missed step.

  • You cannot tell what has been checked

Free material is everywhere, but it rarely says who checked it, against which guideline, or when.

  • Most people prepare alone

Far from family, often far from anyone who has done it before. Good advice depends on who you happen to know.

How MedReady works

Four things, done honestly

  • Practice you can trust

Every question shows its review status. Once a credential-verified physician approves it, you see who reviewed it and the guideline the answer relies on. Anything not yet checked says so, plainly.

  • Your pathway, step by step

Licensing routes for nine countries, researched from official sources: what each step is, who runs it, where people get stuck and what it opens up.

  • A community on the same road

Discuss every question once you have answered it. Share what helped. When you pass, turn around and help the person one step behind you.

  • Affordable by design

Free during the beta. Review status, reporting, discussions and your own data are never behind a paywall.

The trust loop

Built so mistakes get caught, and fixed in the open

Medical content goes out of date and people make errors. What matters is how fast a mistake is found and fixed. Every question on MedReady goes around this loop.

  1. 1. You answer

Answer keys stay hidden until you commit to an answer.

  2. 2. You see who checked it

Review status, the reviewer's credential and the guideline, on every question.

  3. 3. Spot a problem? Report it

One tap sends it to the physician review queue for that exam.

  4. 4. A verified physician reviews

They approve, correct or retire the question, and record why.

  5. 5. Everyone sees the fix

You are told what happened. The next learner gets the corrected version.

Everyone has a role

Learners, physicians and stewards, building this together

Learners

International medical graduates and final-year students

  • Practise daily on your exam, with the review status on every question
  • Discuss each question after you answer it
  • Report anything that looks wrong or out of date
  • Share how you prepared, never real exam content
  • Passed? Mentor someone a step behind you

Physicians

Licensed doctors, verified for the exam track they review

  • Review, correct and approve questions for your exam track
  • Cite the guideline each answer relies on
  • Respond to reports from learners
  • Get public credit on what you approve, if you choose
  • Mentor graduates who are where you once were

Community stewards

Moderators from the community

  • Keep discussions kind, accurate and useful
  • Remove real exam content and recalls
  • Help newcomers find their way

Affordable by design

Priced for people between jobs, not for hospital budgets

MedReady is free while we are in beta. When paid features arrive, they will be priced for graduates who are still job-hunting. The things that keep you safe stay free for good:

  • Review status and reviewer credit on every question
  • Guideline references
  • Reporting an error
  • Discussions on questions you have answered
  • How we review content
  • Exporting or deleting your data

Why we are building this

Every graduate who gets licensed becomes a doctor somebody depends on: in a clinic, on a night shift, in a town that struggled to hire one. Helping each other through these exams is one of the most direct ways we know to serve people.
The MedReady team

Questions people ask

Is MedReady affiliated with a regulator or exam body?

No. MedReady is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the MCC, ECFMG, NBME, GMC, AMC, SCFHS or any other regulator or exam body. We link to official sources so you can check everything yourself.

Who writes the questions?

Questions are written for MedReady, and every one shows whether a physician has checked it. Until a credential-verified physician approves a question, it carries a plain label: "Written with AI assistance. Not yet checked by a physician." We never use real exam questions or recalls.

How are physicians verified?

Before a physician can approve anything, their credential is checked against the public register for the exam track they review. Verification is per track, so a reviewer for one exam cannot approve questions for another.

Which exams can I practise for?

We are starting with one exam in a closed beta and opening others as verified physicians join each track. You can join the waitlist for the others in the app.

Is the Pathway Guide official advice?

No. The guide works from MedReady's researched pathway notes and links to official sources, but rules change. Always confirm with the regulator before you pay a fee or book an exam.

Can I share questions from my real exam?

No, and please do not. Sharing real exam content breaks exam rules and can cost people their licence. Our stewards remove it.

What does it cost?

Nothing during the beta. Safety features such as review status, reporting and discussions stay free afterwards too.
